K S S I A Ernakulam District is one of the 14 district –units of the state-level kerala State Small Industrial Association. The State Association , Which has its head –quarters in Kochi, the industrial capital of Kerala , was founded in 1961 with about 200 SSi Units as members. Today it has more than 20,000 members. |

The Ernakulam District KSSIA Looks after the interests of SSIs in the District, represents them collectively in State industrial bodies as part of the State Association and ensures interaction, inter–dependence and cooperation among its members. It strives to pass on information received from various sources and considered useful to SSIs and also conveys to them orders and instructions received from Government and other agencies. It facilitates formation of cooperative ventures like industrial Clusters, Sub contract Exchange etc and prepares avenues for SSIs to air their grievances, express their opinions and so on. |

KSSIA is performing as the main spokes body of Small Scale Industries in the State of Kerala. It reflects the needs of SSI from time to time, evolve policy guidelines, put efforts to solve the various problems of member units, strengthens the link between the Small Scale Sector and State/Central Governments. Above all it aims for the Overall growth of SSI Sector in this industrially backward State of Kerala.

The district unit helps the state unit in spreading their mission amongst SSls in its district helps SSls to remain abreact with various developments taking place in the field, arranges areas for showing discussing problems and information alleviating grievances. Above all it provides to its member the strength & unity and instills in them a sense of camaraderie. |
